ARC linkage project – OHS and the mining industry – empirical research

Discussions with the then Chair of NOHSC, identified the mining industry (which has achieved dramatic improvements in lost time injuries) as a potential model for other industries to follow. Neil Gunningham’s empirical project, operating in close collaboration with a number of major mining companies, includes a series of articles and reports which will provide insights of value to other industry sectors as well as to the mining industry and to individual company participants which plan to feed its results directly into their own OHS decision-making processes.
