Education

Dr Loudoun has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland, a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from Griffith University and a PhD from the University of Queensland.

Research Interests

Dr Loudoun’s research interests focus on organisational, social and economic issues influencing health and safety performance. She has particular interests in the nexus between industrial relations and health and  safety including: work intensification and working time (shift roster scheduling, fatigue and extended hours of work); labour market profiles and health and safety outcomes; and, the role of unions in influencing health and safety outcomes. She is a member of the Labour Regulation Research Unit of the Socio-Legal Research Centre at Griffith University.
